The Maltese archipelago lies in the middle of the Mediterranean sea and is made up of two main islands, namely Malta and Gozo. Malta is most famous for its rich culture and its capital city Valletta, whilst Gozo is famous for being a very tranquil island having great natural beauty and serenity.

The aim of TypicallyMaltese.com is to build a large collection of photos of the Maltese islands which can be enjoyed by the Maltese islanders and anyone having an interest in Malta. The idea is to have multiple photo categories showing different aspects of the Maltese islands and their people.

Currently the site contains three photo categories as follows:

• Our Islands photo gallery - Photos in this gallery aim to capture the beauty of the Maltese islands.
• Our Past photo gallery - This gallery tries to revive some of the Maltese Islands' past using photos submitted by our members.

Anyone can register for free on typicallymaltese.com and upload photos showing the beauty of the Maltese islands, the comical side of the Maltese people and the past of Malta and Gozo.
